Rox Randonnee - Sunday, May 11 @ 7:30a

ride for rox painting Enjoy a self-supported metric century at a highly sociable pace (not to exceed 15 mph) with mid-ride brunch in Arnaudville.

This is a great choice for folks who have no need for speed but want to go the distance while smelling the roses and savoring a full Sunday brunch. Yes, it's Mother's Day, so reserve a table and meet your mom at Little Big Cup and stay for that yummy mid-morning spread that so many roadies skip on a routine weekend ride.

And while you're having fun, scout the future site of a new cycling rest area in memory of Roxanne Richard, who was killed when hit by a car while riding her bike near Grand Coteau. Jim Lastrapes of Lastrapes Garden Center has generously donated the space and Bike Lafayette will invest its 2014 Ride for Rox proceeds to erect the rest area, including landscaping, water fountain, benches, etc. Come lend your thoughts to what the area should look like when we're done.

For those not up for the metric, feel free to depart from points further north to shorten the trip.
