The next event is my participation as the Executive Director of BikeLafayette on a panel hosted by the UL Department of Sustainability called, “Reinvent the Hub City: Improve Your Community Through Transit.” This panel will include the head of Public Works, the Principal at Architects Southwest, and guest from New Orleans Jim Amdal who will be talking about streetcars! Wednesday 11:30-1:00 at the LITE Center.
Wednesday 5pm is guest speaker nationally-renowned Peter Swift at the ACA. (I am personally very excited about this event!)
Thursday a 2-part session about small urban development will be held at Iberia Bank downtown, starting at 11am.
Also Thursday at 5:30pm at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center, Recover Acadiana, the neighborhood coteries, and the 705 are presenting a workshop for those that care about their neighborhoods. (Highly recommended, I have seen the work done on this!)
